For Sale: British Moth 852 'Gypsy'
This boat holds a special place in the fleet being designed and built by Ian Howlett and became the ’new’ hull shape that all modern Moths (Claridge, etc.) are based upon.
I have had her for around 5 or 6 years and spent a considerable amount (around £1500) on updating rig, sail and foils etc.
She has a maintenance-free plastic/epoxy hull with wooden decking.
New performance laminate sail - used fewer than ten times.
John Claridge composite alloy tiller/rudder.
Carbon-fibre boom.
Selden mast.
Full rig controls with adjustable mast rake etc.
Claridge stainless steel launching trolley.
Boom-on cover.
Currently de-masted/rigged as not been used for past 3 years, over-wintered in club boat house every year.
NOTE - she does need some TLC to the wooden deck with a sanding and re-varnish. I last completed this around 4 years ago (see photo) but really needs doing again.
This is still a very competitive boat in the fleet (in the right hands … not mine!) and deserves to be sailed again!

Enterprise E5263 was originally built by a late member of the club and has been handed down through the club since then. It is now looking for a new owner to look after it and enjoy new adventures on the water. It was last repainted and varnished in 2021.

SOLD: British Moth 839 'Just Panic' - £800 ono
Fibreglass deck and hull.
All the fittings - lowers, adjustable forestay and shrouds.

Almost watertight, with new aluminium mast support (so not in danger of rotting again).
Comes with OK mylar sail and launch trolley (the one with blue carpet - see pictures below - not the trailer and trolley it's currently sitting on) but no trailer.
